Offshore Terminal Bremerhaven

The Offshore Terminal in Bremerhaven (OTB) is the project at the centre of port planning for the state of Bremen. With its heavy-load quay over half a kilometre in length, an area of 250,000 m² and with two to three berths, the OTB will provide an optimal port infrastructure for the wind energy industry and the handling of heavy loads along the Weser.

The OTB also provides a direct linking of the Luneort industrial estate to waters deep enough for seagoing ships, enabling vessels to avoid the present restrictions of water depth and width posed by locks. The fundamental decision on financing the construction of the OTB was taken at a meeting of the Bremen Senate on 4 December 2012.
